The Intercultural Community Intervention Project, launched by Fundación Obra Social La Caixa in 2010 and currently implemented in 39 Spanish regions, has become a model of good practice in the area of mediation and diversity management. Carlos Giménez Romero, the project's scientific director and a social anthropology professor at Madrid's Universidad Autónoma, shared the lessons learned on 3 March at 5 pm, in a lecture entitled "Local communities, interculturalism and the potential of mediation: The experience of a cohesion-building project in high-diversity areas". The activity was open to the public in the auditorium of the Gregori Maians Social Sciences Library at the University of Valencia.
